41- Chic, Luxurious, London Boutique Hotel

If you want to stay in a gorgeous, chic, boutique London hotel, then 41 should be at the top of your list. Located opposite the Mews and backing onto Buckingham Palace, 41 is in a prime spot- a short walking distance from Westminster, Piccadilly and London Victoria Tube/Train Station.

Whilst 41 is definitely an expensive, high end hotel, it has been rated the best value in London (according to www.booking.com). The hotel goes above and beyond- it is great value for money!

We stayed in the Monarch Suite which came with an sleek ensuite bathroom, a stylish lounge and striking bedroom..

The suite was also hi-tech: there was a TV in the bathroom and an iPod docking station!

Whilst the rooms may have a had a monochrome, modern and boutique interior, the whole hotel had a style which made it feel like a traditional London club. For example, the dark mahogany furniture and the ‘Plunder the Pantry’.

Plunder the Pantry

This basically gives guest free reign over an array of yummy complimentary goodies. My favourite was the fridge full of Haagen Dazs ice cream. The pantry is also open all night, which is perfect when you get the late night munchies!

There was also an Honest Bar. This was the first time I had come across a honest bar but I soon found out that it is a bar in which people help themselves to any drink that they fancy. Then the payment is left to the guest… rather than being put automatically on your bill. So payment is subject to your honesty! It is like some weird social experiment.

Not only could we get snacks and drinks downstairs but we were also supplied with complementary
-fresh fruit,
-breakfast (scones/ croissants/ fruit/ jam/ etc)

We were truly spoilt. I think the nature of the whole hotel can be summed up in this photo alone:

Yes. They had a button to press in which you could ask for anything you wanted. Whilst I was too nervous to try it…I imagine that some people find it EXTREMELY useful.

Overall, 41 was a truly incredible experience! With a service second to none and food to die for, it was well worth the money.
