My island getaway to Barbados, also known as ‘Little England’, was pure paradise.
Seabreeze Beach Hotel
We stayed at the Seabreeze Beach Hotel, which was an all inclusive hotel on the beach.
The food was to die for which meant that I ate way too much… but I have no regrets! Every lunch time and evening they served a different variety of food- Seafood, Local food, international.
Also, the main restaurant was practically on the beach, so as you could look out at the sea. It was magical every morning, drinking my tea looking out at the Caribbean waters.
Just like the rest of Barbados, our coastline consisted of:
Idyllic sandy beaches…
And a beating hot sun…
Whilst we did experience bursts of rain as well as a hurricane… the temperature never dropped below 30 degrees! So the rain was warm!
The Hotel also had two outside pools- an adult pool and a kids pool.
However I spent most of my time in the sea. There were extremely friendly and helpful watersports guys/ lifeguards who taught me how to control a small Catamaran.
We also used their equipment to go snorkelling and kayaking, which was incredible!
Plus we took a jet ski out!
If you visit Barbados then it is worth heading out on a catamaran for the day. Not only does it give you an INCREDIBLE tan but the experience is incredible too! The company that we went with were fantastic- the crew found turtles for us to swim with, lead us to 4 shipwreck and docked up for lunch just outside Sandylanes. Plus they provided food and drinks! It was one of the best days of the holiday and a lot of my GoPro fotage from that day is in my YouTube Barbados Beach Break Vlog.
Oistins Friday Night Fish Fry
Whilst the hotel provided entertainment and singers in the evenings, we fancied giving Oistins Fish Fry a go after a local suggested it. Oistins was a short bus ride from our hotel (Bus number 11). There was a lively atmosphere, pumping music and delicious food! If you get the chance, I would strongly suggest giving it a go
